The project entailed filling a void: to provide
a permanent home for one of the most remarkable
avant-garde theatre companies in America:
St. Ann’s Warehouse. In the early years of 2000,
the company’s artistic director, Susan Feldman,
discovered an ideal home for the company
in a former tobacco warehouse facing the
Brooklyn Bridge, located in the as yet ungentrified 
neighbourhood known as Dumbo
(acronym for Down Under 
the Manhattan Bridge Overpass
).

BUSAN CINEMA CENTER
The  Busan Cinema Center, renamed Dureraum (from the Korean term that is used to describe the pleasure of watching a movie in the company of others), is a mixed use complex for the performing arts located on the Nagdong riverbank in the city of Busan, South Korea’s major port and second only to the capital Seoul in terms of population. The complex was designed by Vienna-based studio COOP HIMMELB(L)AU, a collective of Austrian architects active since 1968, which of the original team only Wolf D. Prix remains.

HOUSE OF MUSIC 
To witness the performance of a Beethoven symphony intensifies the listening experience for acoustic reasons but also, according to architect Wolf D. Prix, CEO of the Vienna-based studio Coop Himmelb(l)lau, for the opportunity to follow the movements of the conductor and musicians playing musical instruments. Making music visible and transferring its dynamism into the construction are  the project aims for the House of Music for Aalborg in Denmark.
